Dr. James McCord
Dr. Jason McCord, originally from Pennsylvania, specializes in Corneal Refractive Therapy for the slowing of near-sightedness in children, hybrid contact lens designs for high-definition vision for all ages, treatment and management of eye disease, and dry eye treatment. Dr. McCord is the proud father of twins and he enjoys time with his wife and children when not in the office. He has been in practice since 2007. Our Practice

Joseph M. Reitano, OD
Dr. Joseph Reitano founded the practice in 1997 with his wife Heidi. He graduated with honors from Nova Southeastern College of Optometry in North Miami Beach, Florida in 1994. He has a bachelor degree in biology and chemistry from Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, Georgia. He completed his externship at the Department of Ophthalmology at Mt. Sanai Hospital in Miami, Florida. Dr. Reitano enjoys practicing optometry in Chandler. He has developed a large private practice so that he can treat his patients with the best possible care in a comfortable, friendly environment.
Dr. Reitano also enjoys his family, attending his kids activities, boating, traveling, playing raquetball, golfing, tennis, and church.

Heidi Reitano, OD
Dr. Reitano is a native to the Valley. She grew up in Glendale and attended Arizona State University. She graduated summa cum laude at Southern California College of Optometry in 1994. She went on to complete a residency at the Kansas City VA Medical Center in 1995 specializing in the treatment and management of ocular disease. Being in private practice has been the best of both worlds in balancing family with career. She enjoys practicing in the wonderful community of Chandler which she also calls home.
In addition to practicing optometry, Dr. Reitano enjoys attending her son and daughter's activities, traveling, spin class, boating, and church.

Alissa Wong, OD
Dr. Wong graduated from Illinois College of Optometry in 2001. She has been with Eye Care Professionals since 2003.

Shannah Riley
Shannah has been with ECP since 2003. She is very knowledgable in all departments and will be willing to answer any questions that you have.

At Eye Care Professionals we strive to provide the patient the best eye care possible. This is possible by investing in high-tech equipment to evaluate the eyes. At the same time we believe in having ample time available between the doctor and patient. Educating the patient is the most important part of a thorough, comprehensive eye exam.
At Eye Care Professionals, the comprehensive eye exam consists of the following:
visual acuities, refraction, pupil testing, ocular motilities, muscle alignment testing, focusing assessment, depth perception, color vision, intraocular pressure testing, peripheral vision testing, health assessment of the front of the eye, as well as a dilation to assess the health of the internal eye.
In addition, we have higher level testing to assess some of the aberrations of the eye. This allows us to produce a custom prescription for the patient. The results are sharper, optimum vision.
A retinal nerve fiber analysis helps us determine a patient's risk of glaucoma. It is also used as a tool to manage glaucoma and check for disease progression once diagnosed.
We also have the ability to measure macular pigment ocular density. This is one of the risk factors for macular degeneration. Further, we can then recommend supplements if indicated and then monitor for changes.
With ocular coherance tomography, we can analyze the retina in detail.
With all of this data we can then diagnose, treat, and manage eye disease to the highest ability.
We at Eye Care Professionals also fit a wide range of contact lenses. This includes the basic spherical lens, toric lenses for astigmatism, bifocal/multifocal contact lenses, ridid gas permeables as well as the more difficult-to-fit such as keratoconus and post-op corneal transplants.
